Man U seri dengan PORTO

Camne Man U ni, defend asyik lepas banyak gol je, susahla nak memang kalau camni. Nampaknya Man U mesti menang kat PORTO untuk layak ke semi final atau pun kena seri kat sana 3-3 dan ke atas. Apapun, minggu ni kita beralih ke EPL lak…

Macheda – WHO?

Teenager Federico Macheda declared Sunday the “best day of his life” after scoring a dramatic late goal on his debut to seal a vital 3-2 win over Aston Villa and fire Manchester United back to the top of the Premier League table.

With Wayne Rooney suspended and Dimitar Berbatov injured, Sir Alex Ferguson turned to 17-year-old Macheda to help rescue United’s flagging title charge as they trailed Villa midway through the second half at Old Trafford.

The young Italian provided more focus for United’s attack. Then, after Cristiano Ronaldo had brought the champions level 10 minutes from time, Macheda curled home a brilliant injury-time winner to allow Ferguson’s team to regain their one-point advantage over Liverpool.

“I have dreamt of a day like this,” said Macheda. “I just turned and shot and ran to my family. They are very proud of me.”

Macheda was supposed to be returning to his native Italy to play a match but was called back by Ferguson, who wanted to put the 17-year-old on the bench for the first time.

“I was very surprised to get a chance but now I just want to keep going,” said the former Lazio trainee, who moved to Old Trafford in 2007.

Man U go back to EPL summit

Manchester United go back to top of EPL league after beating Aston Villa 3-2 with Macheda the hero on dream United debut by scoring last gasp goal. The stories are taken from http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/report?id=244150&league=ENG.1&cc=4716

Federico Macheda enjoyed a truly remarkable introduction to English football as he curled home an injury-time winner to give Manchester United a 3-2 win over Aston Villa which sends them back to the Premier League summit.
It seemed the Red Devils would have to settle for a point after Cristiano Ronaldo’s brace had only proved enough to keep United level against a Villa side that thoroughly deserved a lead provided by John Carew and Gabriel Agbonlahor.

• Gamble pays off for Ferguson

But Macheda, a former member of the Lazio academy who arrived at Old Trafford in 2007, was to have the last word.

At exactly the same moment as Yossi Benayoun struck for Liverpool at Fulham last night, Macheda turned onto Ryan Giggs’ low pass before unleashing a stunning shot that curled past Brad Friedel and sent Old Trafford into ecstasy.
